My Wonderful Heritage Community,

What a wonderful day we had last Friday at Heritage!  Our Halloween parties with classroom crafts and games made for such a fun-filled day!!  The students and staff so enjoy dressing up in their costumes, and our Monster Mash dance party was a big success.  If you have not yet seen it, please enjoy the video from what I am pretty sure is one of our students’ very favorite days of the school year.  HE Halloween 2020

It has been so great to have all of our students back at Heritage.  Please know we are following all safety guidelines.  Students are wearing their masks, washing hands and sanitizing throughout the day.  We social distance when possible during the day and are keeping classes together during lunch and recess.  A reminder - if your student has a fever or is not feeling well, please keep them home from school.

Our PTO is currently counting money from our Kindness Drive and we are so excited to hear how much was raised to support Heritage Elementary.  I am so proud of our students for all their amazing acts of kindness.  This truly has been my very favorite fundraiser that we have done at Heritage.  If we reach our goal of $15,000, I will dye my hair yellow and wear a bee costume all day and visit all classrooms.  Be on the lookout for information coming from our PTO with the results of this fundraiser.

Hopefully, you all enjoyed our week off for Fall Break and had an opportunity to spend time with your kiddos.  I know our teachers always enjoy this break and come back refreshed and ready to inspire our young learners.

Virtual parent/teacher conferences take place this week, and will allow our teachers time to share the progress that each of your students have made so far this year.  Thanks for joining Google Meets for these virtual conferences.

Please know how much I appreciate you all and am so very grateful to be the leader of such a kind and supportive school.

Warmly,

Jean Wolach
