MVHS Wish Week 2019

MVHS Wish Week
make a wish

February 4th-9th

It is so exciting that MVHS Wish Week is right around the corner, February 4-9!  If you are not familiar with Wish Week, it is a community service project in which Mountain Vista High School partners with Colorado's Make-A-Wish chapter to grant the wish of one special kiddo & fundraise for Make-A-Wish. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a 501 non-profit organization founded in the United States that arranges experiences described as "wishes" to children diagnosed with critical illnesses.  All the schools in the MVHS feeder area rally together to support this amazing community service project.  This year’s Wish Kid's name is Chad and we will be finding out more about him and his wish in the upcoming weeks.

Wish Week Shirts and Laces

Wish Week Shirts are currently available in My School Bucks for $20. They are only available to order until  JANUARY 14TH!!!!!  The design has not been finalized, but we do know they will be purple and will say Be a Good Person.  You will have to order each student's shirt under each individual student's My School Bucks account.  If you have students at different schools, you will need to complete separate orders for each student.  This year you can also purchase Wish Week shoelaces (see picture below).  Please feel free to call MVHS if you have questions with how to place your order.  There will be very few extra shirts ordered, however the only way to ensure you can get a shirt (which are always awesome and all students who have one wear them on the last day of Wish Week) is to pre-order it through My School Bucks and ORDER BY JANUARY 14TH!!!!!

Candy Grams

Heritage Elementary sixth graders will be selling Candy Grams to fundraise for wish week.  You will be able to send a Candy Gram to your students which will be delivered on Valentine’s Day.  More information to come!

MVHS has set national fundraising records for the past two years for Wish Week, which has made it possible to grant the wishes of so many kids!  Last year, our feeder raised $127,781.24.  Thanks to the generous sponsorship by Be a Good Personand Love Your Laces, 100% of the proceeds from the shirts & laces go directly to Make-A-Wish!  Let's grant Chad's wish and see if we can break last year's amazing record!

More Wish Week info to come, but get those shirts ordered ASAP!
