Happy May! It is hard to believe we have only three weeks left in our school year. Where did the year go? As we end our year together, I am sincerely hoping that we are back to normal this August when we all return to school. We certainly miss our wonderful parent volunteers and community events! I wanted you all to be aware that we are not having field day this year due to COVID; however Miss Lelo is planning some special activities outside for P.E. that are similar to some of the fun field day activities that we have done in the past.

Express Check-In is now open. All parents need to log into Express Check-in to complete the new school year check-in process. The Express Check In process requires a parent to have their own account. If you do not remember your password, click here for help with a password reset. If you are having other issues with your account or need an account set up, please contact Brandee Tudor at brandee.tudor@dcsdk12.org Your student’s 2021-2022 required fees will be posted in My School Bucks, along with optional fees for PTO membership and donations. School Suplies
2021-2021 Supply Lists
School Supply Lists are now available for the 2021-2022 school year. Families can either purchase their supplies on their own or they can purchase them through EduKit. Supplies purchased through EduKit before June 10, 2021 qualify for free shipping, and will be delivered to your student’s classroom. Be sure to refer to the school supply list posted on our school website, and label all items as indicated. ​ Please find the updated grade level school supplies list in the link below. Heritage Elementary offers a free full-day kindergarten experience that is second to none! Exciting News for Heritage!
Heritage was honored to receive both the 2019 Colorado John Irwin School of Excellence and the 2019 Colorado Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award. The John Irwin awards are given to schools that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement over time. These schools received an Exceeds Expectations rating on the Academic Achievement indicator of the School Performance Frameworks reflecting exceptional performance in Math, English Language Arts, and Science. The Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Awards are given to schools that demonstrate exceptional student growth. On the school performance framework that is used by the state to evaluate schools, these schools "exceed" expectations on the indicator related to longitudinal academic growth and "meet or exceed" expectations on the indicator related to academic growth gaps.
