Explorers In Action

Heritage Elementary offers a free full-day kindergarten experience that is second to none!  Our explorers engage in opportunities daily focusing on the whole child and creating a warm, welcoming environment for their first year of elementary school. Your child is about to begin an amazing adventure where they will meet new friends, learn from dedicated educators, and begin building the foundation for a lifelong education. Registration Information:

• If you live within the Heritage feeder boundary area (see map) and need to register your student for the 2024-2025 school year, enrollments are accepted via Online Registration (OLR).  Please visit our District Enrollment page link for instructions, and OLR access.

• If you do not live within the Heritage feeder and want to apply for Open Enrollment, please read on for more information:

  • If you are NEW to the district, please click here to be directed to the Open Enrollment page and application.

  • If your student currently attends a Douglas County School District school, please log into your EngagEd parent portal account to start the open enrollment process. Remember to log in through the EngagED Parent Portal at engaged.dcsdk12.org. You will login using the same username and password that you have created in Infinite Campus/Parent Portal. Reminder: the district's new implementation of DUO requires parents to use the following format: enter your username and @p.dcsdk12.org in the field marked Email Address (e.g. [email protected]) and your district password in the field marked Password on the login screen. If your username and password do not work, please call the IT Support Center at 303-387-0001 for assistance.

  • Open Enrollment closes at 4 pm on August 1, 2024. You will only be contacted if and when we have an opening for your student(s).
