Fifth Grade

Fifth grade focuses on giving the student’s voice and choice with their learning in order to create a more personalized environment. This is a big transition year as the students gain more independence with their learning pathways. Differentiation is key and is implemented to meet all student’s individual needs while still empowering them with choice on what or how they would like to learn. We call ourselves the “Navigators” as we model for the students that we are always lifelong learners who may have to navigate through different obstacles to all arrive with a final outcome of what we’ve learned. Having a growth mindset is a large part of our daily learning and helps to empower the students while growing academically, socially and emotionally.
